  • Can students make up credits? Students can make up credits.
  • Can students work ahead of their grade level? Students can work above grade level.
  • How often are students' scheduled in the Virtual Academy Lab? Students generally spend 1-2 periods per day in the Virtual Academy Lab.
  • Who schedules students? Students are scheduled through the Guidance Counselor's Office.
  • What courses can I take in the Virtual Academy? Core content arease including: Math, History, Science, and English as well as a vast selection of electives are available.
  • Do the course credits for the online courses in the Virtual Academy count toward graduation? Yes. Student earn course credits for online courses similarly to traditional courses.
  • What are the requirements to enroll in the Virtual Academy? Student must meet the enrollment guidelies set forth. These guidelines can be found in the Enrollment Section of this website.
  • Can I work on my courses at home? Homework assignments can be completed from any Internet capable computer. However online tests MUST be taken in the lab.
  • Are there textbooks? Most course contain online content/textbooks. However, course content/textbooks are available in print copy.
  • Do I have a teacher? Students have an online teacher as well as an onsite teacher. The lab is also staffed with an onsite Para-professional
  • How is attendance monitored? Students must attend class during their individually scheduled time(s). Attendance online is monitored and reported in the same maner as traditional students.
  • What if I have a technical problem? Technical support is available through the course provider as well as through the school district. Technical problems should be directed to the onsite teacher FIRST.
