Course Description:  Seventh grade reading is a semester long course that focuses on comprehension and the understanding of the various elements of literature and poetry.  Students will study various forms of literature based on their ability level—fiction, non-fiction, and poetry.  Writing, speaking, and listening skills will be incorporated throughout the semester.   Students will be introduced to the research process.

  • properly use a dictionary to pronounce and define new words
