On August 26, the Mount Union soccer team had an exciting game against Everett. Although they came up short with a score of 2-0, they faced the challenge head on together as a team. This is the best game Mount Union has played against Everett in years.
Everett had 22 shots on goal, with only 2 going in. 15 of the 22 shots were saved by starting keeper junior AJ Scott, and 3 were saved by junior Gabe Neely. Starting Center back senior Joshua Neely, and the other starting defenders shut down Everett’s offense.
While the leading attacker kept Everett on their toes with junior Jamon Ranck having the most shots on goal. Defensive mid player senior Avin Knable, and the mid field had aggressive plays throughout both halves of the game.
Coach Jacob Scott had this to say about the game “they all performed better than what we could have ever expected, and we hope that they continue to give it their full potential.”
