Position:         Maintenance Position (New) – Split Shift
Job Status:     Twelve-month position, full-time
Hours:            9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Monday thru Friday
                                                            *Revised Summer Hours*
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3-5 years in construction, maintenance, and/or trade services.
  • Ability to present evidence of skills sets.
  • Possess High School Diploma or equivalent (may be waived by the board).
  • Work independently with little or no supervision.
 
SPECIFIC DUTIES OF THE POSITION (includes but not limited to):
  • Complete special projects/address maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance/preventative maintenance.
  • Prioritize work orders and complete school requests.
  • May fill in for vacant custodial staff when substitute is not available contingent on current maintenance projects/tasks (Administrative Discretion):
    • Cleans classrooms or assigned area in an acceptable manner, including but not limited to, sweeping, vacuuming rugs, cleaning tables, desks, straightening furniture and dusting.
    • Wet mops all bathrooms, cleans sinks, and toilets daily and replaces towels and tissue as needed.
    • Cleans all drinking fountains daily, along with corridors, as assigned.
    • Moves and sets up furniture or equipment as required for various activities as directed by the supervisor or principal.
    • Handles the receiving, storage, and disbursement of supplies to teachers and other staff, as requested.
    • Opening or closing of building, securing all doors and windows and regulating heat and lighting, as necessary (on or off).
    • Fire boilers and operate all heating equipment.
    • Other duties as assigned.  Including possible change in work hours if necessary.
